A new office space for Booking.com, an online travel e-commerce company, which seeks to connect travelers worldwide to a vast range of accommodations. The chosen building already integrates healthy workplace principles, such as fresh air ventilation, passive heating/cooling, and ample natural light. The design must align with Booking.com's spatial needs, corporate identity, and cultural ethos while prioritizing a healthy workplace to optimize employee productivity and well-being. The goal is to stay true to Booking.coms colours, branding and philosophy with playful ,flexible, offices and an overall Cape Town theme with localized elements.

Booking.com office

RATIONAL

The office space created for Booking.com was designed from the coastlines of Cape Town concept. The iconic beaches of Cape Town were used as inspiration to design a space that is witty, playful, and practical for an office that is green-designed inside and out. The wave curved forms of the space were taken from ocean forms and used to create a relaxed aesthetic workplace. The branding is integrated effectively with signage and colours. The space includes key features like private working desks, sitting and standing desks, a breakaway area with a pool table and swings, collab spaces, informal soft seating, and meeting rooms. The interior is flexible with numerous seating options, allowing spaces for collaboration as well as solitude. The indoor space is a healthy space for Booking.com employees to spend their time in and be reminded of the atmosphere of Cape Town.
