Outcider Brewpub
The Jacaranda tree
The micro-brewery is situated in Pretoria, the concept is the awareness of deforestation and connecting industrial living back to nature through biophilic design and sustainability. Since the idea is centered around trees the colour purple from the Jacaranda tree in Pretoria has been included as accents. The concept creates a design that prioritizes sustainability and conservation working alongside the non-profit organization Green Pop to achieve the reforesting goal.

RATIONAL
The focus of most of my designs is sustainability, I decided to challenge myself in the same way for this project. The ingredients for craft beer mostly consist of natural ingredients from plants which lead me to consider the conservation of flora and trees. The conservation of forests and the impact of deforestation needs more awareness. Pretoria is home to many wildlife and parks, the micro-brewery addresses the issue of deforestation through sustainable production and merging the natural world with industrial processes that are often associated with craft beer. The idea is to demonstrate how both can co-exist. The jacaranda tree from Pretoria is honoured with purple accents in the brand and brewpub. The Bar and restaurant will be more sustainable \ natural with less technology, recyclable cans and vegetarian food. The concept allows greenery to take over the space as to remind people of the importance of nature. Green Pop is a non-profit organization in which Outcider would collaborate with to make real changes in the health of the environment, donating a portion of sales towards planting trees.
