Desert Landscape
The oasis is inspired by the desert landscape of the Tankwa Karoo National Park. The concept of the desert landscape presents itself with natural materials and tones and dune-like forms. The design is completed with the use of PG Bison materials like melawood, supatexture, and supamatt for the finishes of counters, cupboards and furniture.

RATIONAL
The design for the entertainment desert oasis resort is completed for a wealthy content creator, the design is purposed to be rented out for filming and photography. The oasis, Dunes, consists of luxury residences, with entertainment areas and landscape design surrounding it. In the design of the new space the semi-desert conditions were considered. The concept of the desert landscape and the use of PG Bison materials like melawood, supatexture, and supamatt for the finishes create a relaxing natural atmosphere. The design ensures the involvement of the 4 natural elements, fire, earth, water and air. The fire is included in the lighting, fire pit and fire stick cacti, earth is included in the earth/clay materials. The air is created in the large high ceilings and floating rooms. Lastly, the water was implemented in indoor wall art, waving ceilings, and outdoor pools whilst ensuring the design is photogenic and Instagram-able.
